Creating our Rain Forest Habitat

We've had SO much fun learning about the Rain Forest and creating our very own rain forest habitat. I hope you'll enjoy the pictures below.

First, our vines crew twisted paper to make the vines.

Then, we had several friends put up tree trunks around the room.

This is part of our leaf-cutting crew. They spent may days cutting the large leaves that it takes to make a rain forest.

This last photo features some of our "painting buttress roots" crew. We learned that these roots are very large to hold the huge rain forest trees in the ground. We learned that roots are much like straws that we use. They take the water from the ground to provide the trees with nourishment.
We had such a blast writing our letters to our parents and addressing the envelopes. The Friday before Valentine's Day, we each took our envelope to the mailbox to mail our letter. I hope you will enjoy these for years to come!
