Which Region First?

After having an introduction to each of the five regions in Australia (The Great Barrier, the Rainforest, the Temperate Forest, the Desert, and the Grasslands), we finally decided where we want to go first when we get to Australia. After much negotiating, our vote proved that we want to travel to the Great Barrier Reef first! I can't wait until we get to Australia and make it to the Great Barrier Reef.

Mouse Painting

We had a wonderful time this week exploring primary and secondary colors. After reading the book, Mouse Paint, we mixed up some colors of our very own. Check out the colors we made!

Our Eyelash Pit Viper

Our smart little friends did a great job learning about and constructing the eyelash pit viper. They learned so much about snakes! Please enjoy watching Armanii and Jun share some of what they learned.

Our Adjective Web

After reading all the wonderful Eric Carle books the past two weeks, we have made several different webs to identify the different adjectives we found in each of Eric Carle's "very books." Please enjoy reading the web we made on Friday after we read The Very Clumsy Click Beetle.

Tom, our Emerald Tree Boa

We have had a wonderful time learning about the emerald tree boa and making our very own emerald tree boa. We decided to name him Tom!  During the process of learning about the emerald tree boa, each child typed and answered a question about this animal to present to their friends using a powerpoint presentation. They did a fantastic job! Please enjoy the video of Anna-Margaret and Johnathon painting him.

All week, we have celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday! We have read many of his books, as well as ate green eggs and ham on Wednesday to celebrate his birthday! Please enjoy looking at us dressed up in our Cat in the Hat costumes! We had fun making these during center time!
